Webinar – Introducing The Crooks Project

Helping organisations understand and respond to the financial exploitation of young people

Date: Tuesday 21st April 2026
Time: 12:00 – 12:45 BST
Location: Online (MS Teams)

Overview

Building on the success of the OLAF project and the Crooks on Campus docudrama, this session introduces the next phase of the work: The Crooks Project.

In this webinar, we will explore how Rookie Crooks, the latest instalment in the series, combines lived experience, storytelling and current threat intelligence to give organisations a clearer view of how young people are being targeted today. More importantly, we will look at how earlier, more informed intervention can help reduce the risk of financial harm.

What we’ll cover

During this session, we will be introducing The Crooks Project team and sharing key insights from Crooks on Campus, including what it revealed about the realities of financial exploitation among young people.

We will then walk through the findings from the OLAF project evaluation, before introducing Rookie Crooks and explaining how this next phase builds on the foundations already established.

The session will also cover our upcoming train-the-trainer programme, including how it is designed to support organisations working directly with young people, and we will outline opportunities for those looking to get involved in the project.
