Course Overview
Bribery and corruption continue to present significant legal, regulatory, and reputational risks for UK-regulated financial services firms, particularly in the context of third-party relationships, cross-border activity, and senior decision-making. This interactive half-day workshop is designed for senior compliance and risk professionals with responsibility for overseeing anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) frameworks and advising Boards and senior management on exposure and control effectiveness.
The course provides a concise but practical examination of key bribery and corruption risks, relevant UK and international legal obligations, and current regulatory expectations. It focuses on how to design, operate, and evidence proportionate, risk-based ABC systems and controls, including governance, policies and procedures, risk assessment, due diligence, training, monitoring, and escalation.
Strong emphasis is placed on building a sustainable culture of compliance and ethical behaviour, equipping senior compliance staff to challenge business practices, exercise effective oversight, and clearly demonstrate “what good looks like” to regulators, auditors, and Boards.
